Tuli means Fire. The fireplace is central in the Tuli sauna and is therefor placed in the middle of the sauna. The Tuli sauna was originally a sauna where you would sit. This can be recognized by the way the benches are divided into the sauna. The upper bench is wide enough to sit and the lower bench is wide enough to put the feet on.
This sauna has a temperature of 90 degrees. The special feature of this sauna is that it is constructed from rough tree trunks, which are custom made on site during the construction of the sauna. Also the chimney is completely made by hand. The roof has an ecological value, the vegetation is landscaped as natural as possible. We used special plants, including mosses, succulents, herbs and grasses. The fire creates the atmosphere in the sauna. After all watching flames benefit relaxation and works meditating.
Pyörä is the Finnish word for wheel / rad. In the pyörä sauna spins a wheel, which then brings water on the Perio Diet stones through a Siphon feature. Because the humidity should not be too high (<10-20%>), this takes the correct regularity. The wheel turns in the opposite direction, taking water from the reservoir which is then distributed through the various channels on the Perio Diet stones. Thus we automatically create the right atmosphere in terms of temperature and humidity.
The pyörä sauna is currently the largest sauna at Thermae. This makes this sauna particularly suitable to provide activities which are in demand. An example of this is the honey sauna pouring. The "Pyörä" is electrically heated to about 80 degrees.
Both the Roman as Turkish steam bath have, looking to the history, common goals. Both areas serve as a bathhouse and social center. The distinction between the two steam baths is due to the differences in architecture.
Roman baths were traditionally large ground-floor rooms where people could sit on marble plates on the side. This space called it also Caldarium, Thermae 2000 approached that method. Due to the design, in the Roman steam bath temperature almost equal, since there is only one level. In addition, we added a fresh lemon scent in the Roman bath. This is purifying, degreasing, insect resistant and air refreshing.
The Turkish steam bath has the primal form of a dome shape. Again, we have approached this shape. The large differences in steam baths at Thermae 2000 are therefore determined by the design. In the Turkish steam bath you can take place at different levels. The higher you sit, the higher the perceived temperature. Here is added mint / eucalyptus scent. This is refreshing, cooling and increases concentration. The temperature is in both steam baths between 43 and 48 degrees.
The strength of the infrared cabin is in the dry heat which is tolerated very well. The infrared sauna is not only extremely beneficial for muscle and joint pain, but keeps you fit and healthy with regular use of the infrared cabin. The combined action of hot air and of the infrared rays stimulate the metabolism and provides an intense circulation in skin and muscles.
Our infrared saunas are from Physiotherm ®. Physiotherm is the first provider of low-temperature infrared cabins since September 2009.
The eucalyptus is a traditionally built sauna. The atmosphere of this sauna is determined by the smell. Eucalyptus relieves bronchial problems, is refreshing and increases concentration. The eucalyptus evaporated by means of the evaporator above the sauna.
The structure of the outdoor sauna is applied in the traditional way. Both saunas have a temperature of 90 degrees. The outdoor saunas differ materially from the inside saunas. The conditions in the sauna cabin depends on the weather. At high humidity the humidity in the cabin will adapt and therefore are higher. This will change the ambiance and atmosphere in the sauna from day to day.
These saunas are used to give pouring rituals. A Löyly (Finnish), roughly translated a sauna pouring, is actually the pouring of water. Someone pour a bit of water on the Perio Diet stones, this water then evaporates and is absorbed in the air as small water bits. The employee uses techniques to get the air moving. These movements are experienced as pleasant heat. (We advise you to always listen to your body. Do you have questions about your own personal sauna experiences, you can always contact one of our staff members.). By the entered himidity and intensive heating of the skin, the body will sweat more and the blood flow is optimized. Do you feel like it is too hot? No problem! You can always leave the sauna.
